For websites that do not need an application server

This option is intended for brochure sites, portfolios, project sites and small nonprofit websites built as static files. It works well when content changes occasionally and there is no database, user account area or online checkout.

Before accepting a site, we check the technology, traffic expectations and business risk. If shared hosting is too limited, we recommend a more suitable setup.

Hosting boundaries

Some websites need their own hosting account

Drupal, WordPress, e-commerce, Node applications, sites with sensitive accounts and business-critical services do not belong in this package. Public-sector organisations and larger teams are usually better served by a hosting account they own, with Colabs added as a manager.

The shared plan is deliberately limited to low-risk static sites. This keeps the price predictable and prevents one demanding website from affecting the others.

Clear ownership, no hosting lock-in

Your domain stays yours

The domain is registered in your organisation’s name. Colabs only receives the access needed to connect it.

The site stays portable

A static website can be moved to another suitable host. We can provide the files or transfer the source repository when the service ends.

Data is hosted and processed in Infomaniak’s own data centres in Switzerland, under Swiss law and in line with European data-protection rules.

Independent and sovereign

Infomaniak is an independent Swiss company. It operates its own infrastructure and develops its services in Switzerland using in-house and open-source technology.

Privacy-conscious by design

Customer data is used to provide the service. Infomaniak states that it does not sell the data or use it to train AI models.

Lower-impact infrastructure

Its operations use certified renewable electricity. The data centres use outside-air cooling, extend server lifetimes and recover heat from newer facilities.

We verify that the site is static, low risk and suitable for the shared setup.

2. Connect the domain

You keep ownership of the domain and provide the access needed for DNS changes.

3. Deploy and secure

We publish the site, enable HTTPS and add basic uptime monitoring.

4. Keep the arrangement clear

Hosting renews annually. Any content or development work is estimated separately.
